It is with endless sadness that the family of the late Alfred Douglas Sansford announce his passing at the Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville on Sunday January 28th 2024 at the age of 77 years.

Left to mourn Al's passing are his wife Betty, son; David, daughter-in-law; Maple, grandson; Harry and granddaughter; Ally. Also, left to mourn are Al's brothers; Bill (sister-in-law Ruth), Ted (sister-in-law Lorraine), and Sister; Linda (brother-in-law Colin) as well as a very special aunt; Annie Paquet. Mourning Al's loss also, are his Newfoundland family. Special sisters-in-law; Sharon, Beverly (Bill), Patricia and brothers-in-law; Max (Dianne), Ron (Flo), as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Al is predeceased by his father and mother; Beekman and Dorothy-Ann Sansford, as well as sister; Ann Lyons.

Al was a self-taught guitarist, as well as a self-taught wood craftsman. He has entertained many people and friends both in Newfoundland and Ontario and has brought a lot of joy to many people wherever he went.

As per Al's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a funeral service taking place on Monday, July 8th, 2024 at the Humber Valley United Church, in Pasadena, NL at 2 PM with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Al's memory to the Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena, NL, or to a charity of one's choice.

Special thanks are being sent to each and every kind person who has reached out to Al during these last few months. The kindness and love shown by friends in Pasadena, Belwood Lake and most recently Montgomery Village, will never be forgotten.
