It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, sadly announce the passing of our son, Alexander "Alex" James Barrett, at the age of 26 years. Alex was a gentle and sensitive young man who loved his family dearly. He had an undeniable love of music and spent many hours playing records (specifically Mariah Carey), and loved researching his next interest. Alex will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Alex leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his mother: Kim; step-dad: Shawn; sister: Rachel (Wyatt Metcalf); brother: Ethan; sister: Olivia; father: Jim Barrett; grandparents: Gertie "Nan" Harnum; step-grandparents: Joanne and Calin Ehler; aunts: Nanette (Glen), and Donna (Maurice); Uncle Tony (Bet); his close friends: Zoe Neville, Josh Nolan, Alyssa Desjarlais, and Trinity Perry; and a large circle of cousins, and other family members and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the FACT Team for the exceptional support they provided to our dear Alex.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Alex's memory to a charity of one's choice.
