It is with great sadness the family of Aladdin Raymond Bennett announce his passing on Aug 2, 2017. He leaves to mourn his wife Virginia Bennett; Sons: Shawn (Cindy) Ian (Deceased); daughter Kathy (Ernie); grandchildren: Samantha, Patricia, Andrea, Zoey, Lauren, Grace; great grandchild Ryleigh; sisters: Kathleen (Ruben) Bennett, Ivy (Doug) King, Greta Maynard, Eileen Bennett; brothers in law: Rendell Reid and Elton Brown, as well as a large circle of other family members and friends. Aladdin was predeceased by his parents Albert and Tamsey Bennett; sisters: Myrtle (Sydney) Reid, Florence (Raymond) Reid, Thelma (Henry) Reid, Rita Reid and Edith Brown; brothers: Fred Bennett (Mildred) and Maurice Bennett (Maude). Loved by everyone who knew him, Aladdin was happiest spending time with his family. His favourite place to relax was at Lomond with his wife Ginny, where he enjoyed building things with his hands and playing his accordion. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Country Haven Funeral Home. In keeping with Aladdin's wishes there will not be any visitation or Funeral service. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff on the Palliative Care unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
